At left is a very stern-looking Laika, along with the English text:

"FIRST PASSENGER IN SPACE LAIKA 1957"

 Note that the ship doesn't even remotely resemble the actual one in which she rode, Sputnik II, which looked more like a giant metal dunce cap than a rocket.
Belka and Strelka

Here we see Belka and Strelka with the caption:

"BELKA / STRELKA SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY"

"Belka" is the part of the Russian text that looks like "bEnKN", and "Strelka" is less recognizable, written "CTPEnKN"
